Our Purpose and Vision

Marius Jacobs Financial Services CC (FSB 9633) is a verified financial services provider and a member of the Moonstone Financial Advisors Association. Our purpose is to help our clients build wealth over the long term with individualized financial advice. We seek to earn the trust of our clients by providing outstanding client service and holding ourselves to the highest ethical standards.

History / Our Team

Marius Jacobs worked as an advisor at Old Mutual from 1970 until 1972 and then as regional manager until 1975. When Old Mutual started a broker department in the then Boland Bank in 1975 Marius started his career as a financial planner at the Montagu branch where he stayed until 1989. During 1989 he started his own business as an independent broker in Caledon.

Always committed to excellence he completed various courses at Old Mutual in Estate, Tax, and Retirement planning as well as management courses. In 1982 he completed the then ILPA qualification at the University of Free State. ILPA then became the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) of South Africa and affiliated themselves with the international Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards in 1999. Marius Jacobs passed the FAIS regulatory examinations in 2010.

Jurgens Jacobs joined the business in 2003 after he completed his Marketing and Financial Management diploma at the Tygerberg College. He also studied various courses at the Damelin School of Business. In 2010 he passed the FAIS regulatory examinations. After joining the business, he was the driving force behind the establishment of the Villiersdorp branch.

He is currently taking over the life and wealth part of the business from his father, Marius Jacobs.

In 2016 Jodri Swart le Roux joined the business and took over management of the Villiersdorp branch as well as medical aid adviser. She passed the FAIS regulatory examination in 2019 and is currently studying Financial Wealth Management. She is driven to get her qualifications and is passionate about being part of the team at Marius Jacobs Financial Services.
